Year after year goes by and the same half-finished writing projects sit waiting for completion. At least I don’t start new ones. Hey, I have to look for something positive.
While I’m not adding onto the list of projects I’ve started, at the same time I’m certainly not making a dent. I couldn’t even get myself to participate in this year’s NaNoWriMo. So clearly there is an issue.
Now I just need to get to the bottom of it. Of course, the easy thing would be to blame it on a lack of time. Isn’t that the usual excuse?
But something is telling me that I need to dig a little deeper. Could it be fear of the unknown? Could it be that I don’t want to risk failure?
I’m just guessing right now. But before the end of this year, I want to get to the bottom of it. I don’t want to start off another New Year with the same goals I have had the past few, without ever achieving them.
What about you? As you are nearing the end of the year, can you say you have met your goals? Why or why not?
